Obit for Diane E. Brundage (Ray) '63

RAY DIANE E RAY (nee Brundage) Suddenly on December 15, 2008 after an extended illness with Multiple Sclerosis. She was a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley , MA ; received her master's degree from Tufts University and was close to completing her PhD at George Washington University when she was diagnosed with M.S. in September 1979. She was the Communications and Program Manager for the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL), Washington DC and the first Program Manager of IEL's Ford Fellows in Educational Journalism Program. She also served on the Board of Directors with the Education Writers Association. She was preceded in death by her sister Ann O. Brundage. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years John Ray; sisters Joyce Brundage, Mary Wetzler, and Janet Brundage as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at EVERLY-WHEATLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 W. Braddock Rd. Alexandria , VA 22302 on Friday, December 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Christ Church , 118 N. Washington Street , Alexandria VA. Interment will follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery .
