DONALD R. PAGE of New Preston, CT, died Saturday May 31, 2008 of pulmonary fibrosis. Born Dec. 28, 1933 in Evansville, IN to John Page and Billie Coombes Page, he grew up in Tell City, IN. Donald graduated from Indiana State University and worked as a music teacher and school principal. He lived and worked in Europe where he met his wife, Alice Duffy. The two were married for 44 years. He earned his D. Ed. from the University of Virginia and was a guidance counselor at Greenwich High School for 29 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help choir and the Knights of Columbus. An avid reader, Donald also enjoyed cooking and music. Surviving are his wife Alice Duffy Page, a son, Donald Rothwood Gregory Page of New Preston, CT, daughters, Cecilia Page of New Preston, CT and Elizabeth Page Gallo of Ridgefield, CT., four grandchildren, John Shusdock, Katie Shusdock, Pasquale Gallo and Alice Gallo, and his brother Gary McMahon of North Fort Myers, FL. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Washington Depot, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Arrangements are by Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford, CT.
