Barbara H. Brown, 63, a
resident of Salem Twp., went to be in His presence Wednesday morning. Her
husband is Ronald G. Brown.
Born in Lynn Brook, N.Y., she was the daughter of
Alfred L. Hartig Jr.,
Boulder City
,
Nev.
, and the late Doris M. Martin Hartig. She was a 1974 graduate of Southern
Illinois University having received a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
She was a teacher for 15 years and for the past 25 years, until her recent
retirement, she was employed with Lackawanna County Arc and the Devero Institute
in
Newfoundland
.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son,
Christopher Joseph Brown and his wife, Amy; a sister, Elizabeth Borski;
brothers, John and William Hartig; grandchildren, Kara Lauryn, Dax and Cole;
several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Alfred
L. Hartig III.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Brian
Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services,
3 First St.
, Spring Brook Twp. Interment to follow in
Fairview
Memorial Park

Elmhurst
.
A viewing will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the
funeral home.
