Candice Lee Clarke '64

On July 13, 1979, Candice Lee (Clark) Roche passed away at the age of 31 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Candice attended the University of Alabama before moving to be with her family stationed in Germany.  It was in Germany that she met and married Capt. James Roche.  Upon returning to the states they settled in Plano, Texas where they began their family.

Candice was a stay at home mom and always loved the fine arts, continuing to paint and draw works of her own.

Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.  Father Leon Duesman and Father William Buck were to officiate.

Survivors include her husband, James T. Roche of Plano; a son, Michael Joseph Roche; a daughter Caroline Elena Roche; her parents, Col. and Mrs. Victor E. Clark of Plano; two brothers, Mike Clark of Plano and Joe Clark of Wisconsin and one sister, Nancy J. Clark of Dallas.

Interment was at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Arrangements were handled by Harrington-Bratcher-Dickey Funeral Home.
