Celia Black

Celia Elizabeth Black, 45, of Point Richmond , California died of brain disease Friday at a hospital there after a lengthy illness.

Ms Black was born in Quonset Point RI, and was christened as an infant at the Naval Academy Chapel. She attended schools in various cities where her father was stationed.

She worked as an executive secretary before her illness Her interests included gardening.

Surviving are her husband Lee Simms, her father and stepmother retired Navy Rear Adm J Dean and Emily Black of San Diego , Calif and her sister Cheron Jane Hargrave of Annapolis She was also the sister of the late Navy Lt JG Gregory Dean Black.

Her ashes will be scattered in Hawaii and a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
