William Germann, 61, of Vass, died Monday (
Jan. 9, 2006
) at
FirstHealth
Moore
Regional
Hospital
in Pinehurst.
The
funeral service was held Wednesday at Vass Presbyterian Church with the Rev.
Buddy Olney officiating.
Mr.
Germann was born
March 1, 1944
, in
Germany
. He retired after 32 years as a civil service employee with the federal
government. Nine years of this time was spent with the property disposal at
Fort
Bragg
and the other 23 years was with the Fort Bragg Fire Department. He was also a
member of the Circle V Fire Department in Vass. He was also an employee of Lee
Iron and Metal in
Sanford
. He was preceded in death by a son, Tony M. Germann.
Survivors
include his wife, Annie R. Germann; his parents, William and Kathie Germann of
Memphis, Tenn.; his daughters, Cathy G. Sesta and her husband, David, of High
Falls, and Mary G. Chapman and Bobby McArthur of Pinebluff; and his
grandchildren, Jessian Sesta, David Sesta Jr., Caitland Sesta, Samantha Chapman,
Sara Chapman and Elana McArthur.
