Gregory Larson

Gregory Dean Larson of Fort Collins passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, July 29, 2001, after a year-long struggle with brain cancer.  He was 54.

On March 16, 2001, Greg married his long-time companion and partner, Julie Cook.  Most of his professional life revolved around photography.  From 1976 to 1985, he owned and operated Grand Camera on Elizabeth Street in Fort Collins.

In addition to his talents as a photographer, Greg excelled at golf and enjoyed playing the guitar and restoring vintage Alfa Romeos.

As the son of a Foreign Service Aid official, Greg spent his youth in Costa Rica, Nigeria, and France.  A 1965 graduate of Dreux American High School in France, he went on to earn a degree in economics from the University of Colorado.

In addition to his wife, Julie, survivors include his stepdaughter, Stacey, currently in London his father, Laybourn Larson and his brother, Tim, sister-in-law Margaret, and nephew, Kyle, all of Bellvue, Wash.

His mother, Catherine, preceded him in death.

In celebration of Greg's life, a casual gathering of family and friends will be held at 4:pm Friday at the home of his good friends at 629 Matthews St., Fort Collins.

The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Hospice of Larimer County or the Salvation Army in care of Goes Funeral Care.
