MESA, Ariz. -Always living life large
and each day to the fullest, Hugh Dimmery lived, loved, worked and played
with infectious enthusiasm and exuberant energy. On March 14, 2006, Hugh
Dimmery's time on earth with family and friends came to an end. Hugh and
his wife Valli were married in 1969 and they have two special children --
Eric and Kristy, and four treasured grandchildren -- Shayna, Kayla Grace,
Seth and Elianna. Hugh's son-in-law Mark Edwards and daughter-in-law Julie
helped make the family complete. Time shared together as a family often
included Hugh's parents-in-law, William and Tonia Ballard. Time with
family and friends was always a celebration of love and life. Hugh was
born in Columbia, South Carolina, on April 2, 1947, to Hubert and Irene
Dimmery and was one of five children -- brother Terry Dimmery and sisters
Lorraine Murphy, Karen Trunk, Elizabeth Krawczyk. Following a 20 year
career in the U.S. Army, Hugh retired as a field grade officer and joined
the Boeing Company, working for the last 18 years in management and
executive positions supporting the Apache helicopter program and business
development with both domestic and international customers. Always
dedicated to getting the job done right, Hugh is highly regarded by
friends and associates around the world. For those who knew Hugh in
service, on the job, at home or on the golf course - honor, integrity and
loyalty are words that define this gentleman's character. A gathering of
friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006,
with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View
Memorial Gardens Mortuary, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Ariz. In memory of
Hugh, in lieu of flowers, and to realize his wish to provide for the
continued education of his grandchildren, donations may be made to the
'Hugh Dimmery Memorial Fund' through Bank of America at 5807 East
McKellips Road, Mesa, AZ 85215. Hugh's family has a sincere desire to
personally thank each individual that chooses to give to the memorial
fund, and because the financial institution has no mechanism to provide
donor information, you may elect to bring your gift to the service or to
include it in the collection of cards and written greetings being gathered
through Mike Burke, The Boeing Company, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mail
