John Allen Moon Jr., 51, of 104 Forest Drive, Lynchburg, died Monday, Nov. 1,
1999 in Lynchburg General Hospital. Mr. Moon was born Aug. 27, 1948 in
Lynchburg, a son of Shirley Moon and the late John A. Moon. He was a U.S. Marine
Corp veteran, employed at ESP Inc. and attended Dreux High School in France.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, John A. "Tres"
Moon III of Calif.; a sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Moon of Lynchburg; a
niece, Stephanie Epling of Forest and a nephew, E. Winston "Rusty"
Goff of Forest. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov.
4, 1999 in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Tim Madison officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Woodall-Tharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
