MACDONALD, MARY MALLETTE HAYS, age 51,
of Hoover, died April 25, 1997. She received her Bachelor's degree from
the University of Alabama and her Master's degree from the University of
Alabama at Birmingham. She was Manager of the Operations Analysis section
of the Social Security Administration's Southeastern Program Service
Center where she had been employed for 29 years. She was a member of the
Episcopal Church of the Ascension and the Colonial Dames Society.
Survivors: husband, John D. MacDonald, Jr.; father, Sam S. Hays of
Mountain Brook; sister, Sarah Hays Tomlinson of Palo Alto, California.
Services: Chapel Service Monday at 3:30 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel with
burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Reverend Robert Lockard, officiating. The
family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral
Home. Anyone wishing to make donations in lieu of flowers please direct
