Mary "Maisie" Billings - Assistant School's Officer at Dreux

Mary R. “Maisie” Billings, 95, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Capitol Lakes Health Center, Madison.

Born in Marshfield, WI on January 15, 1924, Maisie was the second daughter and fourth child of Frank and Rose Felhofer. She married Clifford Billings (Marshfield) and they had five children. Cliff was in the military and Maisie lived in various places between 1949 and 1966, including seven years in Germany and five years in France. Maisie and her children returned to Marshfield in 1966 following the unexpected death of her husband. Maisie worked for V&H Ford and lived in Marshfield until 2011. Following the death of her daughter Barbara Billings in May 2011 Maisie moved to Madison to be near her two sons, Charles and James. Charles passed away unexpectedly in July 2011.

Maisie is survived by twin sons Douglas Billings and Roger Billings (Kerry), and James Billings (Trisha); four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her brother Thomas Felhofer (Marian).

Maisie loved bowling, golf and the Green Bay Packers and was one of the best female bowlers in the Marshfield area during the 1970’s and 1980’s, garnering many trophies for high average, high game and high series in the leagues in which she competed.

Funeral services will the held 10:30 am on Monday, January 28, 2019 Rembs Funeral Home, 300 S. Oak Ave. Marshfield, WI, followed by a reception for family and friends. Rev. James Logan will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Coventry Village (Madison), Milestone (Cross Plains), Capitol Lakes (Madison) and Agrace Hospice for the care they provided during Maisie’s last years.
