Mary Kathryn Scott, age 60, passed away on May 22, 2006 in Vancouver,
Washington, from the effects of lung cancer. She was born in Hayward,
California, on December 31, 1945, and was a resident of Vancouver for 26
years. Mary Kathryn, a registered nurse, received her degree in Nursing
from Clark College in 1988. She spent the remainder of her life devoted to
caring for others, both personally and professionally. She enjoyed
gardening, reading, music and playing bingo. She was a gifted soprano and
enjoyed telling vivid stories of her youth in Europe and the Middle East.
Mary Kathryn is survived by her beloved children, Andrew K. Bourret,
Michelle A. Belkot, Carrie L. Fieweger and Danielle J. Scott. She also
leaves her mother, Lucille F. Redo of Two Rivers, Wisconsin; her brothers,
James, Christopher, Patrick, Jeffrey; and sister, Janice Bricker. She is
now reunited with her father, James W. Redo, Jr., who passed away in 1995.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. at Holy
Redeemer Church in Portland, OR. Her body will be interred by
Finley-Sunset Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR, (503-292-6654).
