Roseanna Cuomo, born Jan 30,
1944, in Santa Ana, CA, to Stephen D. and Theresa A. Cuomo, left us on Dec 28,
2014, surrounded by her family, at home, in San Diego. She is survived by her
mother, brother Tom, sisters Charlene and Elise, four nephews; Jes, Steven,
Dave, and Lee, her dog, Abigail and her Aunt, Agnes Denello. She was predeceased
by her father, her beloved Aunt Betty Amato, Grandparents Giovanna and Joseph
Marino and Tomaso and Rose Ferrara Cuomo.
Roseanna was born into an Air Force family and lived at various times in
California, Connecticut, Japan, Texas, Washington, and France during her
most formative years. She attended Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT.
where she spent happy years living with her Nonni Jenny and Joe. She completed
her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and French at Fordham University in NYC,
while working at Ziff-Davis Publishing and Time-Warner. While in NY she
took every opportunity she had to share her love of the arts with her family in
her role as the big sister, a role she took very seriously but with a good sense
of humor. Her love of traveling brought her back to California where she
received her paralegal professional certification from UCLA. Roseanna worked as
a paralegal in Los Angeles and Denver prior to moving to San Diego and joining
the law firm of Sullivan Hill almost two decades ago. She loved family,
rescuing and caring for dogs and the friendship of her neighbors and colleagues.
A private memorial will be held in CT. In lieu of flowers please make
donations to Rancho Coastal Humane Society or Helen Woodward animal center
in memory of Ro.
