Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel for
Thomas L. Wolf, 60, of El Centro, who died Thursday in El Centro. Rosary will be
said at 7 p.m.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic
Church in El Centro. The Rev. Jaime Escobedo will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
Mr. Wolf was born May 28, 1943 in Denver, but attended schools around the world
as the son of an Air Force family.
He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from California State University,
Sacramento.
Mr. Wolf settled in the Imperial Valley, where he worked as a health inspector
for the Imperial County Health Department and later became director of county
Environmental Health Services.
He married Dorothy Galindo on May 30, 1969 in Imperial.
According to family, he was a certified scuba diver who enjoyed camping, fishing
and working on his cars.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wolf of El Centro; daughter, Jennifer Wolf;
daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Carlos Salcedo; parents, Hazel and Tom
O'Keefe; sister, Faye Craig; brothers-in-law and spouses, Barry and Esther
Galindo and Edmund and Lucy Galindo, all of El Centro, and Joe and Elizabeth
Galindo of San Diego; brothers-in-law, Julio Galindo of Hawthorne and Tony
Galindo, both of San Diego; sisters-in-law and husbands, Yolanda and Steve
Lorensen and Socorro and Ernest Halcon of San Diego; granddaughters, Isabella
Rose Flores and Alexandra Salcedo, all of El Centro.
